Ben Kutylo

Co-Founder and President

Ben co-founded Fremont Street in 2017 in partnership with a close friend and colleague.

Prior to Fremont Street, Ben was the VP, Strategic Partnerships at eSpark Learning, an early stage edtech company that delivers digital personalized learning software to schools and classrooms. There Ben led Customer Success and Strategic Account Management and was responsible for eSpark's more than 150 school district partners across the country.

Before eSpark, Ben spent almost 6 years with The Chicago Public Education Fund, a venture philanthropy dedicated to developing and supporting great teachers and principals in Chicago's public schools. There he created and launched the organization’s second strategic priority, focused on broadening demand for innovation in schools throughout Chicago and supporting school teams as they moved toward school redesign and transformation to better meet the needs of students.

Before transitioning into the education sector, Ben spent almost 10 years in marketing and business development for various technology companies including Sun Microsystems and Transora, a business-to-business software firm in the consumer packaged goods industry.

Ben has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and master’s of education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
